prompt - au!CrissColfer ; Darren has a crush on his friend, Chris, who goes to college with him. lollipops and flirting

Chris’ tiny pink tongue lapped at the cherry lollipop as he read over the page on the table in front of him.

Darren sat across from him, entranced, as Chris popped the candy into his mouth, as he flipped the page.

His tongue moved the treat around, making the stick hanging out of his mouth move around.

He watched as Chris took the lollipop out of his mouth again and almost died.

“Hey, Colfer!” a cheerful voice startled Darren almost out of his chair.

Chris sat unfazed, looking over Darren’s right shoulder and smiling. He licked a stipe up the lollipop once, before pulling it away from his mouth, grinning at the boy who was walking over to their table.

Darren looked over his shoulder and groaned. It was Eric, who had been trying to get into Chris’ pants since freshman year. Chris had always turned him down, but Darren felt like he would give in eventually.

“Hi,” Chris replied, smiling politely. He shot Darren an annoyed look before looking up at Eric, who was now standing a few feet from him, leaning on the table.

“Do you, maybe, wanna hang out tonight?” Eric asked, looking Chris up and down.

Chris popped the lollipop back into his mouth, as he shook his head, “Can’t. Sorry.”

He looked back down at his reading material and flipped the page in the packet.

“Why not?” Eric sighed, looking annoyed.

Darren fought back a smirk, as Chris looked back up at the other boy and pulled the lollipop out of his mouth again.

“I’m studying tonight,” he batted his lashes.

Darren shifted uncomfortably in his seat because that was hot.

“I could help,” Eric offered, quirking his eyebrows suggestively.

Chris smirked, “Sorry. No can do.”

Eric frowned, “Why?”

“I’m…studying…with Darren,” Chris licked his lips, looking over at Darren, who looked like he was about to die. “Right, Criss?”

Darren just nodded, unable to speak.

Eric let out a frustrated sigh and stood up, “Whatever. Call me if you want to have some fun.”

“We already have fun,” Darren blurted out, shocking him and Eric, but not Chris. “You can go now.”

Eric stared at him in disbelief for a moment.

“Shoo,” Darren said, waving with his hand, and Eric rolled his eyes, grimacing, as he walked away.

Chris and Darren were quiet for a moment, before Chris finally spoke.

“That was hot,” he stated, wrapping his tongue around the lollipop and then pulling away, a smirk on his red lips.

Darren stared at those lips and smiled nervously, “Thanks.”

“Mhm,” Chris replied, popping the candy back into his mouth and looking down at the page.

There was a pause, and then Darren asked, “Studying was code for sex, wasn’t it?”

“Yep,” Chris nodded, not removing his eyes from the page. “Is that all right with you, or…?”

“That’s all right with me,” Darren rushed out. “Fantastic, even.”

Chris smirked around his lollipop, saying nothing more.
